The Associated Press is reporting that the Alliance of American Football reached out to former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick about joining their league.  He reportedly wanted $20 million to do so.

The league played their first games ever last weekend, and at that asking price, it was not a surprise that Kaepernick was not on the field.

A person with knowledge of the conversation tells The Associated Press that the new Alliance of American Football spoke with Colin Kaepernick during its development about joining the league.

But Kaepernick wanted $20 million or more to consider playing with the league that had its debut last weekend.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity Thursday because neither side has publicly acknowledged such talks.

Who knows where Kaepernick and his people came up with that number.  It must be the price that they knew would end the talks and not have him show he can still play football.
