On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Indianapolis Colts – including 11 current players like star QB Jacoby Brissett – joined volunteers from locally-based LIDS Sports Group to outfit more than 250 children with new winter coats, gloves, and knit hats as a part of the 14th annual “Lids for Kids” event (formally known as “Cold Feet, Warm Shoes & Hats”).

During this special “Colts Community Tuesday” event, LIDS set up a mock store at Ralph Waldo Emerson School #58 where students selected new gear donated by LIDS. Volunteers worked with each child to ensure the items were properly fitted and provided each child the same level of respect and service they would receive at any of LIDS’ 1,200+ retail locations.

Colts players, cheerleaders, and team mascot “Blue” were on hand to help distribute the new apparel, give away Colts gear and accessories and assist with fittings. The full list of players who participated were: QB Jacoby Brissett, DE Ben Banogu, TE Ian Bunting, DE Gerri Green, DE Jegs Jegede, CB Picasso Nelson, Jr., C Javon Patterson, LB E.J. Speed, CB Marvell Tell III, CB Rock Ya-Sin, and S Khari Willis.

Lids for Kids has allowed LIDS to aid children and families in its headquartered city of Indianapolis. To learn more about LIDS and its community initiatives, visit www.lids.com.
