In the top of thr 9th down by a run the Dodgers were granted a controversial timeout that took the tying run off the board.  With runners on first and second, Gio Urshela hit a groundball that was fielded by the third baseman.  His only play was to second base.

A hustling Brett Gardner, who was called safe on review, slid into a flopping Max Muncy at second.  After the Dodgers second baseman fell down, Gleyber Torres, who was now on third base, broke for home.  He was told to go back because it was ruled that the Dodgers had been granted an absurd timeout.
