It’s Thursday and Jason Garrett is still the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.  There were reports shortly after the season ended that Jerry Jones wasn’t going to fire him.

So far, he hasn’t.  The word was that Jones would just let Garrett’s contract expire, which was falsely reported as January 1st.  His contract actually expires in January 14th.

Since the season ended, Garrett has had multiple meetings with the Cowboys executives and there are reports now that Garrett might remain with the team in a different role.
