The Jets are currently attempting to reach a long-term deal with safety Jamal Adams.  Should they fail to do so the Cowboys will reengage the Jets in trade talks.

According to reports, Dallas is expected increase their offer should they make another run at acquiring Adams.  The 24-year-old safety was unhappy much of the season last year and may prefer to holdout for a trade rather than sign a new deal.
