During a nationally televised NBA double-header that included the Clippers’ match up with the Sacramento Kings, team officials and coaches around the country donned their most garish outfits as a tribute to the late Craig Sager, the sideline reporter best known for his decades of wearing loud combinations of blazers, ties and shirts on air for Turner Sports.
The tributes were part of a larger fundraising effort for cancer research by the foundation of former college basketball coach Jim Valvano.
Sager died from cancer on Dec. 15, 2016.
Ernie, Chuck, Shaq and Kenny donned some of their most colorful attire to pay tribute to TNT’s Craig Sager who lost his battle to cancer in remembrance.

It looks like everyone wasn’t happy about the tribute.
Sager’s daughter went to twitter to talk about her feelings, and explain how Turner has completely ignored them, and has sided with their stepmom.
Don't you think you should have reached out to @THESagerbomb & @CraigSagerJr at the very least, since both are involved in sports reporting? This kind of tone-deaf behavior is what gives pro sports a bad rep. #SagerStrong my tail feathers. Include ALL of his children 😡

They don't give a shit. EJ wouldn't even talk to me at the funeral. He's never said a word to me, actually. They're all so far up Stacy's ass they don't care how hurtful they are being to half my father's family.

Ernie giving someone who just lost their father the cold shoulder is the biggest douche move of all time. I’m sorry that this woman is essentially erasing you from your own father’s life

Looks like Kacy is still very upset over her father’s passing.

Imagine being this damn adamant that someone else grieve the way you tell them to. And then lecturing THEM about being petty.
Apparently this is about his uncle now. Again, just wanted a heads up. That's it. When everyone is telling you you're being an asshole, reflect on that. https://t.co/fGKDUTVExE

Still going hahaha. This is my life, bro. Do you not have one of your own?
Also, this might be the editor in me talking, but that's a suuuuper clumsy use of the word "coerce". https://t.co/6RlqqrLdLm

That dude has legit sent out more tweets about this situation than I have at this point. What a clown.
Don't tell people how to grieve. Feels like something I shouldn't have to say, but here we are.
— Kacy Sager (@THESagerbomb) November 30, 2018
Apparently not everyone at Turner is a jerk.
I also want to make it very clear that there are people at Turner who have always gone out of their way to let me know my brother & sister & I have not been forgotten. There are some truly good people who work there as well.
— Kacy Sager (@THESagerbomb) November 29, 2018
Yeah, it's gonna be a couple days before I can muster the strength to check out the tributes. Which is unfortunate, because I know the vast majority of people involved had no idea @NBAonTNT had left us in the dark.
But I truly do appreciate all the love being shown for him 🙂 https://t.co/hKO53AJBem

FFS. This guy has written like 20 paragraphs on why there's no reason @NBAonTNT should have sent a quick "hey, just a heads up, we've coordinated something with the entire league to honor your father" email.
People say really dumb shit just to be contrarian. https://t.co/OgrNHCsO3Z

Tough story, her father was one of a kind.
Really unfortunate her and her family have to go thru the emotional pain once again.
I always thought Ernie Johnson was a stand up guy. Not sure why he would take anything out on Sager’s children.
