Don’t expect a strong preseason by Daniel Jones to change anything for the Giants going into the regular season.  Head coach Pat Shurmur said as much on Friday when asked about the first-rounder’s strong performance in his first preseason game.

Jones finished 5-of-5 for 67 yards and a touchdown.  That was good enough for reporters to bring up the possibility of a quarterback competition.

Shurmur shut that down quickly.  He made it clear that nothing had changed and they still plan on Eli Manning running the offense.
