The Lakers waived injured big man DeMarcus Cousins on Friday to make room for Markieff Morris, who was picked up after his contract was bought out by the Pistons. 

Cousins has reportedly been ruled out for the rest of the season and plans to remain with the Lakers while he rehabs his torn ACL.
