Deontay Wilder placed blame on the 40lbs knight suit he chose to enter the fight wearing.  

He blamed the costume for making him have heavy legs.  

While the suit is definitely heavy, many have wondered why a man of his size and strength would be unable to handle the weight.

After all, he trains in a vest even heavier than that.

Looking back to an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast just over a week after the original Wilder vs. Fury bout, Wilder explained that his training regime included using a 45lbs vest “during all his exercises”.
