Heat guard Dion Waiters was scratched from the lineup on Friday night due to an illness. He was the only Miami player, who didn’t have an injury, that was scratched from the lineup.
It was later reported that Waiters was the unnamed Heat player who had a medical emergency on their flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles. He was said to have taken too many edibles and suffered a seizure.
Waiters’ mother responded to the report on her Instagram story and called it “fake news.”
