Dodgers Reliever Joe Kelly Threw a 99 MPH All the Way to the Backstop

There’s overthrowing a pitch, then there’s overthrowing a pitch at 99 MPH that goes all the way to the backstop.

Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly had a pitch get away from him at 99 MPH that ended up making it all the way to the backstop on Saturday night in Boston. 

It’s just the latest in a bizarre, disappointing season for the hard throwing right-hander.  It’s possible Kelly was trying to throw it at the bull.
