Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills took to Twitter earlier in the day on Wednesday to criticize his team owner Stephen Ross for a planned Trump fundraiser in the Hamptons.  He said in his tweet, “You can’t have a non profit with this mission statement then open your doors to Trump.”

On Wednesday evening, Ross replied to the criticism with a statement of his own about the fundraiser.  He defended his right to participate in the democratic process.  He also explained that he’s known Trump for 40 years and says he will continue to be an outspoken champion of racial equality.
