Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey is confident he’ll return from his knee injury sooner than expected.

“Tell me what the timeline is, and I’ll beat it by a month,” Ramsey told head coach Mike McDaniel, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.

McDaniel said Ramsey’s left meniscus surgery Friday went “as well as it could have.”

The 28-year-old Ramsey is reportedly expected to be out until December. McDaniel didn’t provide a specific recovery timeline but said the cornerback will come back “100% Jalen Ramsey,” per Louis-Jacques.

Miami signed cornerback Eli Apple to a one-year deal Saturday.

The Dolphins acquired Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams in March for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long. The three-time first-team All-Pro has 19 interceptions and 92 passes defended in 108 career games.
