There’s more to baseball than just being able to hit the ball.  Mike Trout knows that, although he does a decent job of hitting too.  On Thursday night the Angels center fielder was busy showing off his arm.

Rangers first baseman Ronald Guzman decided to test Trout’s arm on a base hit to center.  That turned out to be a terrible idea.  Trout threw a perfect one hop strike to his catcher that had Guzman out by several feet.

This is why we don’t run on Trout.  He’s an all around talent.  The man can hit, he has power, he can run, play defense and throw. 

The scary thing is, Trout’s arm is probably the weakest of his tools, and it still commands respect.
