The Jaguars are going to begin the season with second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew as their starting quarterback.  But they are very much interested in added a quality veteran backup.

According to head coach Doug Marrone, Jacksonville is considering bringing in a veteran quarterback to backup Minshew.  That very well could be the newly released Andy Dalton.

The Patriots are reportedly interested in Dalton, but the Jaguars could be the team that ends up with him due to his connection with offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, who was his coordinator in Cincinnati a few years ago.
