After coming very close to being eliminated by UCF last weekend, Duke survived Virginia Tech on Friday night after having another shot at the end of the game go their way.  The Hokies executed the inbound catch and shoot play to perfection and just couldn’t get enough on the shot to send the game into overtime.

Virginia Tech’s Ahmed Hill was wide open after catching the ball in mid-air but couldn’t get the shot to fall.  Duke advanced to the Elite 8 with a 75-73 win.

How many more of these kinds of shots are going to go Duke’s way?  This is team of destiny kind of breaks at the end games.  One of these shots is eventually going to drop and Duke will be eliminated or their going to run the table and be cutting down the nets at the end of the tournament.  

There’s no way they get run out of the gym, not after these misses.
