The Duquesne student who fell from a 16th floor window to his death Thursday night has been identified as junior football player Marquis Brown.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at Brottier Hall on the 700 block of Forbes Avenue after campus police were called after a disturbance was reported.

As officers were talking with Brown he jumped out of the window and was taken to Mercy Hospital in very critical condition. He died a short time later. Foul play is not suspected.

There aren’t a lot of details around why the police were called and whether or not drugs and alcohol were involved.  You hate to hear about a young life being cut short.
