Caplan recently said as much during an Inside The Birds podcast with Geoff Mosher.
“They want to sign a veteran running back. […] The guy that I know they have some interest in, and we’ll see if it happens, is a guy that’s really, really talented. […] The Eagles, I’m told, have interest in him. […] I’m told Hyde is a guy they’re targeting.
Caplan said Hyde is the player he was alluding to when he previously reported the Eagles were considering signing a veteran running back.
This offseason has been a very strange one to say the least. A guy like Hyde coming off of a career year shouldn’t have a hard time finding a new home.
