At 1-6 the Giants are in full fire sale mode ahead of the trade deadline.  But don’t expect Eli Manning to be one of those players New York is able to trade.

For starters, who in their right mind would want Eli?  And even if there were any takers, he has a no-trade clause and it doesn’t sound like he’s willing to waive it.

Via NJ.com:

“I haven’t thought about a trade scenario,” Manning told Mike Francesa on WFAN. “This organization is the only team I’ve ever played for and the only thing I know. I love the New York Giants. It’s hard to imagine being with another organization.”

It’s also hard to imagine that Eli will finish the season as the Giants starting quarterback.  But this is the New York Giants we’re talking about.
