Panthers safety Eric Reid sent Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson into the concussion protocol with a dirty hit to the head. After the game Reid addressed the dangerous hit and said he was just trying to stop Watson from getting a first down.
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera had to tell him that the hit was late which sounds a like he needs to have the rules explained to him. When the guy has already been tackled and is on the ground, you can’t hit him.
