The Sports Business Journal reported on Monday night that a deal for Barstool Sports to sponsor a College Football bowl game. The deal fell apart after the NCAA and ESPN pressured the bowl to go with another sponsor.
Barstool’s founder Dave Portnoy confirmed the report. He says ESPN killed the deal because they’re scared of Barstool. He then said, “Just a matter of time till we get a bowl game though.”
