In the early morning hours on Saturday, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy broke the news that ESPN’s Todd McShay was joining the Jets front office as VP of personnel.  McShay was college roommates with New York’s new GM Joe Douglas.

Hours later McShay confirmed that he is under consideration for a front office job with the Jets.  He added that Douglas is considering multiple options.

Via Pro Football Talk:

ESPN analyst Todd McShay says he is under consideration for a job under new Jets General Manager Joe Douglas.

“Joe is considering multiple options and I’m one of the options,” McShay told Rich Cimini of ESPN.

McShay and Douglas were teammates for two years at the University of Richmond, so the two have known each other a long time. McShay has no experience working in an NFL front office.

Who needs experience when you’ve binge drank and shared top ramen with someone?  Not to mention that one time he walked in on his “alone time.”

J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!
