Defensive end Everson Griffen will not be back with the Vikings next season.  The 32-year-old Pro Bowler’s agent, Brian Murphy, informed reporters that he had broken off talks with Minnesota.

Murphy indicated that the Vikings want to spend their money elsewhere:

“We have broken off talks with Minnesota because they have to spend their money elsewhere and we decided to now focus our attention on free agency.”

Shortly after his agent’s comments, Griffen took to social media to announce that he wasn’t re-signing with the Vikings and he will be playing elsewhere next season.
