Former San Francisco 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan took issue with injured quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo not standing on the sideline during his team’s Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants.

Instead Jimmy was nice and cozy in a skybox.

The longtime executive asked why Garoppolo, whose season is over because of a torn ACL, watched the game in a suite instead of with his 49ers teammates.

As NBC Sports Bay Area’s Jennifer Lee Chan reported last month, neither Garoppolo nor running back Jerick McKinnon are allowed on the sideline while they recover from torn ACLs.

He even pointed out Carson Wentz on the sidelines.

McCloughan worked in the 49ers’ front office from 2005 to 2010. Sounds to me like this guy is just trying to stir the pot.
