Former Ohio State running back Beanie Wells is offering a five-figure reward to anyone who can provide information to lead to the arrest of the person who killed his brother.

He was drafted with the 31st overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2009 NFL draft and played just four seasons in the NFL. Wells’ best season came in 2011 when he rushed for over 1,000 yards and had 10 rushing TDs.

Akron Police said Joel Wells, 31, was shot in the head Thursday morning. Police found Wells lying on a driveway after they responded to a shooting call. Wells was pronounced dead at the scene.

Per WEWS news, Beanie Wells is offering a $15,000 reward in the case and a local crimestoppers organization is offering an additional $5,000.
