Padres rookie shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. left Sunday’s game in the 10th inning after injuring his hamstring doing the splits.  The injury occurred when the Nationals centerfielder Victor Robles laid down a bunt with a runner on first base.

San Diego pitcher Matt Wisler fielded the bunt and threw it to second base.  Tatis was covering and did an unexpected split as he caught the ball.  He immediately grabbed the back of his leg and waited for the training staff.

The good news is, he was able to walk off the field under his own power.  The Padres also have a pretty good shortstop, who just happens to play third base.
