Things got heated in the third period of Monday night’s Sharks-Flames game in Calgary. San Jose goalie Aaron Dell delivered a shot with his stick to the midsection of Calgary’s Sam Bennett.
The dirty shot wasn’t seen by the referees and no penalty was called on the play. That didn’t sit well with Bennett.
Right before the game ended Bennett exacted a little revenge with a dirty hit of his own. He unloaded a brutal late hit on Radim Simek that caused a brief fight between Bennett and another Sharks player.
Bennett might want to wear some extra pads the next time these two teams face off, because you can bet this isn’t the end of this bad blood.
