Bills running back Senorise Perry will wear number 32 for the first time since O.J. Simpson.  The team decided this year to unretire it and make it available.

Former Bills receiver Andre Reed isn’t happy that Simpson’s number is being worn in Buffalo again.  He thinks the number should stay retired because of what O.J. did on the field.

Via NewYorkUpstate.com:

“I just don’t think, regardless of what O.J. did, you just can’t take away what he did on the field, what he meant to the NFL.  I think the Bills should keep that number retired.”

It’s certainly an interesting take.  There are probably some crimes that can be overlooked and keep a player’s number retired.  Murder isn’t one of them.

What took Buffalo so long to unretire the number?
