Former football and track star at LSU, Orlando McDaniel, has died from the coronavirus.  The 59-year-old began feeling ill after a recent trip to Washington, D.C. to visit family.

McDaniel’s play for LSU as a wide receiver earned him a second-round pick in the 1982 NFL Draft.  Unfortunately his NFL career was a very brief one, appearing in just three games as a rookie without any catches.
