Greg Spires was arrested Friday in Concord, NH and charged with stalking and violating a protective order, according to The Concord Monitor.

Greg Spires, 44, of Cyprus, Texas, is charged with stalking, a misdemeanor. He is being held without bail pending his arraignment Monday morning in Concord’s district court.
Spires’s ex-wife took out a protective order against him Thursday in Concord after he showed up twice at sporting events that she was attending for their daughter, Concord police said. Spires is accused of going to Concord High School during the school day Friday in violation of that order.
Police said Spires has a history of domestic violence. He was taken into custody without incident on the misdemeanor charge.
The paper is reporting that the 44-year-old is being held without bail.
Spires, 44, played in three seasons for the New England Patriots, from 1998 to 2000. He remained in the NFL until 2007, playing in one season for the Cleveland Browns and six for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Concord police say they aren’t aware if Spires is represented by an attorney.
Police say he has a history of domestic violence.
