He continued, “Even now, I still battle gay rumors when I’m with Cassie, but that’s how it was for me as a young kid in grade school and high school,” he said. “I can deal with them now. …People, sometimes when they don’t understand, they have to get from Point A to Point B somehow, and that’s a line that they draw. That’s just what they do to make sense of things in their mind.”
