Former NFL quarterback Jared Lorenzen, aka the “Hefty Lefty” was been hospitalized due to multiple health issues. The 38-year-old’s family issues a statement through friend and Kentucky Sports Radio host Matt Jones.
Lorenzen, who hasn’t been feeling well for weeks is in intensive care with an infection. He also has kidney and heart issues.

The unusually heavy quarterback completed four passes for 28 yards during his two seasons with the New York Giants. He also won a Super Bowl ring, take that Dan Marino.
Obviously we’re huge fans of Lorenzen and hope he’s able to pull through and get his health in order. He’s the kind of guy everyone wants to see doing well.
