Bill Belichick really wanted to beat the Eagles on Sunday. He trolled the Eagles during his postgame press conference and gave the Patriots the day off on Monday.
The surprise “Victory Monday” was the first of the season for the 9-1 Patriots and as you can tell by their reaction, the players were very happy to have the extra day off.
