As we predicted, Bryce Harper is off to a slow start.  Also as we predicted, Phillies fans are booing their $330 million man.

Harper was recently asked about the boos and admitted he would boo himself too.

Phillies manager Gabe Kapler doesn’t have any problem with Phillies fans booing Harper either.

Via The Sports Daily:

Harper has gotten off to a slow start, though, hitting .231, and fans are letting him hear it. They’ve been booing him during games, even though it’s only May. Phillies manager Gabe Kapler doesn’t see an issue with it. He appeared on MLB Network Radio’s “Inside Pitch” on Friday, and stated that he understands why fans are booing.

“I love the answer of ‘give them a reason to cheer,’” Kapler said. “You know, like give them a reason to be on their feet.”

What else are these two supposed to say?  They certainly don’t want to give Philly fans more reasons to boo.

This is what Bryce signed up for.
