Rob Gronkowski did the unthinkable.

He tried to bunt a baseball with the actual Lombardi Trophy, essentially treating the famed trophy as a baseball bat.

Only Rob Gronkowski could get away with that. 

We still hadn’t heard from Gronk about the incident. 

Now we have. 

Here’s the one-word “statement” Gronk issued on Twitter, while linking to a story on his family’s “Gronk Nation” website:

The Patriots say they’ll leave the dent in the trophy for now as a reminder of the day Gronk left one more mark with the team.

Gronk is a legend.
