But with Phillip Dorsett not playing because of a hamstring injury, and Josh Gordon injured before halftime trying to prevent a Giants fumble return for a touchdown, that left the Patriots thin receiving corps even thinner.

Olszewski had two catches for 34 yards, including his first NFL catch. Brady found Gunner deep down the middle for a 29-yard gain in the fourth quarter.

“It felt great. It felt great doing your job like everyone harps here,” he said. My number was called today and I like to think I did pretty well at my job. Tons of stuff to improve on . . . I got clamped up a couple times. I feel like I contributed well and did my part. We got another win so that’s all that really matters.”
