Jackson State’s mascot was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct in the third quarter of the Tigers loss to Bethune-Cookman on Sunday.
The mascot got a little too excited and ran onto the field to celebrate a touchdown catch by receiver Warren Newman.
The penalty cost his team 15-yards, but in the end didn’t have any affect on the outcome of the game. Jackson State was destined for a loss.
