Jada Pinkett Smith spoke to Snoop Dogg about how he publicly berated Gayle King in an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk.
Smith said her ‘heart dropped’ when she heard Snoop’s attack on King.
King faced backlash over a clip from her CBS This Morning interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie in which she asked about rape allegations against Kobe Bryant.
Snoop was among several celebrities who criticized King for dredging up the issue after Bryant’s death in a tragic helicopter accident.
He branded King a ‘funky, dog-haired b****’ and demanded she ‘back off before we come get you.’
Snoop later issued an apology which King accepted.
