Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney isn’t going to show up for training camp, but his holdout is expected to end when the regular season begins.  According to reports he’s been in contact with his teammates and is studying his playbook.

Clowney has yet to sign his franchise tag of just under $16 million and would prefer a long-term deal.  There is also an issue with the tag itself.  The Texans listed him as an OLB instead of a DE which dropped the tag value by $1.7 million.
