Former Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston is using his platform for good in the battle against coronavirus.

Winston posted on his Twitter account Monday morning that he has launched a toll-free hotline at 844-8378-26843 (TEST-COVID) where people can call in to have their questions and concerns about the highly contagious virus answered.

Along with general surgeon Dr. Scott Kelley, Winston is hoping to help provide comfort during this time of social distancing and quarantine.

As citizens of this great country, I believe it’s important to come together to support one another in times of need,” Winston said in the video posted on his Twitter.

With the lack of resources and misinformation out there, Dr. Kelley and I decided to create a toll-free national hotline. We want to give every family rapid responses to give them peace of mind from the safety of their own home.”

Kelley goes on to explain in the video that the hotline will triage callers over the phone and give them guidance based on the information provided as to whether they may need further medical treatment and/or a coronavirus test.
