James Harden arrived at the Toyota Center for Game 2 against the Utah Jazz wearing a clean Dries Van Noten suit set and Chanel sneakers, which he paired with a Shyne Jewelers custom medallion chain that paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle.

Harden, a close friend of Nipsey, spoke to the media about the rapper’s tragic death.

“He was powerful, not just to a certain dynamic or to a certain city, but just to the world.” Harden added, “He was a leader. He was so many things and his life got taken away off nonsense, off BS. So, it’s been sad, man. I think, not only myself, but a lot of people around this world were affected by it. It doesn’t seem real.”

Here’s a closer look:

After Harden scored 32 points and recorded a triple-double in the Rockets’ 118-98 win, Harden talked about the importance of his chain.

“That name will never die. People will remember him,” Harden said. “I’m just here because he’s one of my close friends. Like, this journey that I’m on is for him, plain and simple,” Harden said. “That name Nip. Everybody knows that name now. I’m just another person helping that name live on.”

Nipsey Hussle was shot outside his Marathon Clothing Company store in Los Angeles on March 31st.
