Pistons forward Blake Griffin had himself a decent night in Detroit’s season opening win over the Nets.  He scored 26 points, added eight rebounds and six assists to his stat line.

But there will be one play that will haunt him in his sleep.  This dunk attempt on Nets center Jarrett Allen.  Blake went up for one of his monster dunks but was absolutely denied.

A few years ago Griffin would have just ripped Allen’s arm off on the dunk.  At 29-years-old he doesn’t have the strength he once had.

Allen blocked a Griffin dunk attempt in the preseason too.  It might be time to realize that he’s not going to be able to put the Nets big man on a poster.
