Comedian Jay Mohr, who also hosts a Lakers podcast, took to Twitter to weigh in on the Lakers slow pre-season start. He gently reminded everyone how long the NBA regular season is and the fact that they haven’t yet played any of the games that count.
There are 82 regular season games in an NBA season.
NONE of which the @Lakers have played yet.Go to bed

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, who was linked romantically to Mohr, responded to his tweet and pointed out that the Lakers have plans beyond the regular season.
That’s 82 regular season games plus playoffs 😉 #mood https://t.co/uuuA2pKMJK

That’s right, the boss is planning for the postseason and why shouldn’t she? There is a lot of young talent on the team and LeBron James took a team of scrubs in Cleveland to The Finals.
The math adds up. Why would the Lakers not make a run at the playoffs in LeBron’s first year?
