NBA champion Jeremy Lin has written of his sadness at the coronavirus-related racism he has seen in the US since returning to the country amid the ongoing Chinese Basketball Association hiatus.

In a post on Instagram, Lin addressed the past 12 months in a 270-word post he “felt very strongly about”.

Following a successful 9-year career playing in the NBA, Lin signed a lucrative deal to play with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association this year.

With the season on hold, the former New York Knick returned to his home in the United States, and decided to share some insights on his tumultuous year.
