During an appearance on 95.7 The Game for his customary conversation with “Joe, Lo & Dibs” Rice made that clear after Joe Fortenbaugh posed the question.

“No,” Rice said bluntly when asked if Manning deserves to make it.

Manning currently has the sixth-most passing yards in NFL history and the seventh-most passing touchdowns in NFL history.

“Yes, he has two Super Bowls, but then you look at Drew Brees and what he has accomplished and all of that. I think in yardage now he’s the leader. He’s doing great things for that team, and that team is getting better as they go. You can tell he’s a great leader and he makes everybody around him better.”

“So, I would think that Drew Brees is going to be a shoo-in. Eli? There’s a chance of him getting in, but I’m not going to say he’s a true Hall of Famer.”

Jerry Rice is arguably the best receiver to ever play the game. That being said, his GOAT status does not make him the utmost authority on who belongs in the Hall.

Eli Manning with his Two Superbowl victories, and all the comebacks during games deserves to be in the hall. Manning has led 41 game-winning comeback drives since 2004. Last week’s win was also Manning’s 27th game-winning drive in the fourth quarter — also the fourth-most among all quarterbacks.

Not only that, his last name is MANNING.
