Jets Reportedly Don’t Think Their Star Cornerback ‘Loves Football’ Anymore

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets don’t think Johnson loves football and believe he has a “laissez faire mindset.”
“Of course I love football,” Johnson told the Daily News Wednesday. “I’ve been doing it all my life. I’m passionate about it. It’s my life. It’s not a job to me. I love what I do.”
People in the organization disagree.
The Jets can get out of Johnson’s deal at 2020 without taking too much of a cap hit.
Gregg Williams’ defense could use a big performance from Johnson this weekend when they face Tom Brady and the Patriots.
