News that the 49ers had left Colin Kaepernick out of a photo gallery marking the franchise’s all-time moments against the Packers, caused waves late Thursday into Friday. 49ers general manager John Lynch was asked about Kaepernick’s omission of Friday morning during an appearance on Murph & Mac on KNBR.
Lynch admitted that a mistake had been made and at the time of this post, the 49ers had fixed it by adding a picture of Kaepernick to the photo gallery.

“I just learned about it a couple of minutes ago,” Lynch said. “Obviously, from our part, a glaring omission. From ownership on down, we’ve got so much respect for his contributions to this franchise and against the Packers. Anyone who is a fan of football, let alone 49er fans, knows that he has a great part of history against the Packers.
“We’re looking into right now how that happened, and we’re trying to rectify it. I just learned about it and so not something that I’m proud of. It’s a glaring omission, as I said. We’re working right now to get that fixed.”

Does Lynch expect us to believe that they just happened to leave Kaepernick out of the photo gallery? Come on, the 49ers didn’t think they would be called out for the omission.
