It’s just Jon Gruden’s second season back in coaching, but he’s more than ready for the spotlight.  On Tuesday while talking to the media Gruden said, without being asked, that it would be awesome if “Hard Knocks” covered the Raiders.

Gruden offered up the comments after talking about his young players:

“I love them.  Mike Mayock has talked about we’re looking for foundation players, we’re looking for players that can come in and make a contribution right away and for a long period of time.  Foster Moreau has been impressive, Maxx Crosby has been impressive, Quinton Bell is going to be a hard guy to get rid of.  I can’t say enough about Ferrell and Abram, what they’ve done for us here in the last month.  I think Jacobs is going to be interesting and fun to watch.  Who knows?  Maybe “Hard Knocks” will come and cover it.  That’d be awesome, wouldn’t it?”

That would be awesome, although I think Gruden is being sarcastic.  Gruden, Mayock and the group of players they’ve put together would be nonstop entertainment.
