Redskins cornerback Josh Norman got torched on Monday night by Drew Brees and company.  His play was so poor that he was benched.

Via The Washington Times:

When the Redskins returned for the second half in Monday’s 43-19 blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints, cornerback Josh Norman wasn’t on the field for the team’s first defensive series — with coach Jay Gruden opting to play rookie Greg Stroman instead.

Gruden said afterward the decision to bench Norman was “my call there” and did not elaborate if it was related to performance, or for disciplinary reasons.

The 30-year-old cornerback isn’t living up to the five-year $75 million deal he signed back in 2016.  In fact, Norman has given up an almost perfect passer rating in coverage this season.

How smart do the Panthers look now for letting this guy walk?  He’s clearly not All-Pro material.
