The Falcons might be without their top receiver Julio Jones on Sunday when they open their season against the Vikings in Minnesota.  He told reporters on Thursday that he didn’t know if he would play Sunday.

The 30-year-old wants a new contract and team owner Arthur Blank says he wants to give him one.  He apparently isn’t moving fast enough to get a new deal done.

Jones’ current contract situation and a possible injury could keep him off of the field for the season opener.  It sounds like things in Atlanta just got a whole lot trickier.
